West Hampstead Town Hall at 165 Broadhurst Gardens, near the junction with West End Lane, was established in 1886. By 1929 it had become a recording studio, and in the 1950s it was owned by Decca with both the Beatles and The Rolling Stones recording there. It is now home to the English National Opera.
