Celebrate a New Chapter at the Wet Fish

Two Special Music Dinners – Wed 24 & Thu 25 Sept  🎈

Dear friends,

After 23 years of running the Wet Fish — through all the highs, lows, the battles, and the triumphs — I’ve decided it’s time to hand over the reins and embrace new adventures.

For the past couple of years I’ve been living partly in Athens, I’m newly married, and now blessed with a beautiful 3-month-old baby girl. It feels like the right moment to finally let go of this project I built from scratch — what began as a mad idea became a home for my passions in food, music, and art, a place I poured my heart and soul into.  It’s bittersweet, but it’s time.

I’m so happy the Wet Fish will live on!  Keeping its independent spirit alive in West Hampstead, when it could so easily have been lost to another soulless chain.  It now has a wonderful new owner who truly loves it, will keep it thriving and whom you’ll all meet very soon.

Some of my greatest joys on this journey have been the live music dinners. Hosting incredible artists in such an intimate space has been a deeply personal project, and I’m so grateful to you — the music dinner VIPs who’ve shared so many of these nights — for loving it as much as I have.

So I want to celebrate turning the page on this chapter, and the new owner has kindly let me schedule two of my very favourite artists later this month — spaces are limited, so I’d love for you to join us!

✨ Sam Brookes – Wed 24 Sept.  For lovers of pin-drop, atmospheric, dreamy sounds and Sam’s choral voice (this will be his 10th time at the café).  BOOK WEDS 24 SEPT

✨ Ama Lia & the Rhythmic Underground Movement – Thu 25 Sept.  For those who love a full, vibey night of bass hooks, keyboard wizardry, and jamming energy to get the toes tapping.  BOOK THUR 25 SEPT

Hoping to see you all at what promises to be two very special evenings.

With love and gratitude,
